Special Education
Many times, we don’t know what to do when we receive students with special educational needs. How to educate them? How to include them?
The online course Special Education is directed to teachers comes from the results of teaching experiences in the classroom and aims to answer questions present in everyday school life.
Promoting inclusive practices is recognizing that inclusion refers, in its essence and legitimacy, to all the education process. It’s relevant to understand that each student acquire their own identity. Each one of us has particular traits that distinguish and also, bring us closer; they are inseparable from our human condition, which should be part of the educational activities in the construction of a school for diversity.
The course provides an educational vision on student diversity, contemplating different special educational needs. It presents strategies for the work of teachers in an inclusive school, based on relevant theories of teaching and learning and, especially, their experience in the classroom.
