Child Behavior Institute of Miami was created to offer consulting and psychoeducational information to families, educators and mental health professionals.
Our online educational programs are designed to educators, child mental health professionals, doctors, psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, school teachers and parents of children with behavior problems and special needs.

Gus Teixeira, M.D. M.Ed.
Dr. Gus Teixeira studied in United States, graduated from South High School, Denver, Colorado, where he learned about special education school programs. He became a medical doctor by the age of 25 and carried on his studies at Institute of Psychiatry at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is also post-graduated in Chemical Dependency by Federal University of São Paulo; Child Mental Health by Santa Casa Hospital of Rio de Janeiro; and courses in Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology by Harvard Medical School. Also, he has a Master in Education from Framingham State University, U.S.A.
Dr. Teixeira is an international lecturer in inclusion and special education and has presented workshops in 4 continents, including countries like United States, Australia, South Korea, Austria, England, Sweden, Portugal, Brazil and graduate summer courses for the Department of Special Education at Bridgewater State University.
Dr. Teixeira’s books has sold more than 200,000 copies, including psychoeducational best sellers in Brazil and Portugal. He is also a member of American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Autism Society of America.
